The Edgemont Area Chamber of Commerce
invites you to explore the...
Trails, Trains and Pioneers Museum
Located on Main Street by the Mickelson Trailhead, this museum takes visitors through the many aspects of life along this section of the Cheyenne River.
The community was started as a stopping place for the early railroads which today are still an important part of the community’s character.
Many trails have passed by, but today the Mickelson Trail is an important piece of the community’s fabric. Pioneers in the area settled on ranches and made a living off the land, as their descendants today continue the heritage.
Learn about the early inhabitants of the area who left their marks in the form of rock art found in surrounding canyons, etched into the beautiful red rocks.
The Museum is open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
