The Edgemont Area Chamber of Commerce
welcomes you to...
Edgemont, South Dakota
We're a friendly ranching community on the southwestern flank of the beautiful Black Hills in western South Dakota that's been around since 1890.
Rodeos are a favorite pastime here with a number of them lined
up each summer - a Ranch Rodeo, the River Series Rodeos, the Fall River County Fair and Rodeo, and the Little Britches Rodeos included. Our event calendar provides further details and dates.
Another Edgemont favorite is the Edgemont Theatre Company's summertime plays. The theatre puts on vaudeville-era melodramas on the stage of the old ring in the sale barn to packed houses four weeknds each summer. Volunteers cook, serve, act and clean to make the theatre a success.
Visitors also enjoy Milepost 0 of the Mickelson Trail on Main Street next to City Park and the Trails, Trains and Pioneers Museum. This trailhead is the southernmost point of the Mickelson Trail, a scenic 109- mile recreational hiking, bicycling or horseback riding trail that follows the historic Deadwood-Edgemont Burlington Northern rail line through the heart of the Black Hills. The trail’s solitude and beauty attract hundreds each year.
